22.2mm Bar-end Shifter

THIS IS A DIGITAL DOWNLOAD, YOU DO NOT GET THE PHYSICAL PRODUCT, JUST THE 3D FILES TO PRINT YOURSELF.

This is a bar-end shifter made to fit 22.2mm bars, there is currently no available part that can accommodate bar-end to a smaller diameter bar.

They are compatible so far with:
Simplex retrofriction shifters
Shimano 9 speed shifters
Should work with most shifters although it really depend of the placement of the shifter hole. I tried with some downtube 7 speed shifters and it didn't work.

This won't work with 23.8mm bars (unless you add some padding inside to make the diameter shorter but it is not recommended).

3D printing settings:
I recommend printing them in PETG.

Here are my settings:
0.2mm Standard
30% infill Gyroid
4 wall loops

Print it flat on the flat edge at an angle, no supports are needed.

To install you will need this bits of hardware (for one shifter)
- 1x O-rings Size 14mm ID x 2mm CS
- 1x 5mm bolts (at least 35mm long)
- 1x 5mm nut

If you don't already use the rest of bar-end hardware you will need (see last picture to see how they look like)
- Shimano Y6RP50000 (the flat edges inserts that allow you to screw the shifter in)
- Shimano SL-6208 Downtube Shifter Boss Cover (the flat washer that lock the shifter in place)

When installing do not go too crazy on torquing the bolt, it can withdraw a reasonable amount of force but obvs as it is 3D printed if you go too hard it will break.
